“It
is a special feature of the circles of cognition that we are entering
just now,” explained her brother, ”that within them all inner
activity of growth is being seen openly. “And when we earlier, on the practice-place of the rings of the mind, admired the powerful mastery over the elements, the success of those practising was based first of all on their spontaneous insight into the inner activity of the elements - where the mighty forces of nature work directly - and only secondly on the skill of efficiently and playfully handling these prime forces of creation. “Here in the force-field of cognition, the innocent look behind
the forward, outer, bodily scene of nature is an impressive gift of
the alfs, and this insight is the natural prerequisite for the inner
control over nature. “Here in the circles of cognition the disciples practise their
inner mastery of these mighty exercises. “Nothing in creation unfolds without this growth being perfectly lived before in the transcendence, and in the same manner in this field of pure consciousness, from where everything created, indeed all of creation is governed, nothing happens which is not caused and directed by the cognitive forces of the moon-light. “Therefore everything that happens in the world, actually unfolds - skilfully worked by the moon-alfs - only in the field of pure consciousness, in the transcendence, whereas in the world of the created, in the course of space and time, only the outer, more limited effect of this prime activity is visible to us - like its imperfect shadow-image. “The outer world of forms and phenomena - the elements of nature and beyond that the whole of creation - is governed by the giants' forces, by the forces of the mind. They are called gigantic because they appear very big and like giants, compared to the infinitely finer forces which rule the prime basis of the mental forces, the field of the transcendence. |
