Now Mani saw scores of sounding, golden gleaming arrows, scintillating in many colours, that escorted the wild hunter.

“In the shape of these bright arrows the individual tones of his glory follow the intrepid hunter,” said Sol. ”Together the sounds carry the songs of the guilds; whenever a tone fades, it sends its arrow-coat to the moon as a present.”

And Mani saw how individual arrows, but sometimes also small groups of light-spears, flew up and towards the moon and merged with her colourful white halo.
