The Wild Hunter

In the midst of the breaking clouds the wild chase was rushing near as swift as the wind, so that the milk-ocean foamed briskly. The wild hunter led on a white horse; from its golden-shimmering mane golden-brown dew was trickling into the troughs of the milky ocean.
The pale horse had golden hooves too, which were not wetted by the billowing waters of the ocean, even though they created the frothing crests of the waves themselves.

The radiant head of the horseman was surrounded by a halo of redgolden rays which surrounded his flowing hair like a golden helmet.
From the herois blue-glistening beard light streamed towards the strata of fog and created crystal-clear lucidity everywhere.

The storms and rains fled from his red-golden breast-armour, that shone like a beacon-light, as if they fled the sun.
A dark-green coat, wrought with gold and silver, waved around the horseman and was held together by a golden-silvery pin set with pearls; the coat quivered in the storm like a fur of moss decked with golden dew.

In his hand the hunter held a golden-silvery bow which often glistened in the colours of the rainbow.
With this wonder-tool the archer shot arrows of light at all the animals, but also at all the plants, trees and grass-blades.

“This is how the wild hunter ignites the fire of effervescent joy of life in all creatures,” explained Sol.
“With his arrows of pure knowledge he rakes the embers of the free will in man, so that he may rise above the realm of destiny.
Nobody from the world of limitations escapes from the luck-bringing arrows of this bow, once he has reached this holy place here; for the free play of the forces of nature is founded on the freedom of its creatures.”

Two young wild boys in colourful, green-embroidered clothes accompanied the hasty horseman on fallow horses and carried his innumerable arrows of luck in golden quivers.
