As soon as the white-makers had touched the first of the sleeping heroes with their white colour, nine white valkyries - wishing-girls of pure consciousness - came rushing near over bright ways through the air, on white horses and clad into white dresses, with snow-white helmets and white breast-plates.

Armed with white shields and white swords and spears they invaded the nightly bright mountain and gave the heroes, as they woke up from their profound sleep, a white-silvery potion from white tumblers.

The bearers of the moonlight-shield were followed by white eagles, which generated white winds in the whole mountain-hall.

Then they turned into white cocks, settled on elevated places and watched over the pure awareness of the heroes.

And as soon as the whiteners had left the brilliant white fortress, the luminous opening closed behind them.
