Walpurga | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Behind
the effulgent sacrificial bowl with the holy fire Mani saw a resplendent
beautiful woman sitting on an elevated golden throne. Like the wise
women she too was dressed in a white luminous garment which shimmered
like the light haze of a spring morning. “This is Walpurga,” whispered Sol to his sister who was drowned
in deep bliss, ”and she is the high priestess of this noble assembly
of all the wise women of the world. At the gleaming gate of jewels the guardian-lady, clad in a garment
white as snow and surrounded by a white-golden glory, waved with a small
bunch of blue magic flowers from which the stars shone forth. And Mani eagerly drank the golden light-streams of bliss, which due to Walpurga's gracious magic power flowed towards her from Walpurga's smiling mouth, heralding the perfection of the world. |
