The Dance of Desires

When the first had drunk from the milk they began to turn more and more translucent, and all their inside became as visible as their outside.

From the beginning all the assembled beings and things had had their own radiance and translucence, but now they reached, as if by a secret miraculous spell, an expression of unity, complete in itself, but still maintained all the diversity of form.

Mani saw very clearly that each being or thing was one single light - filled with different intensity like with light and shadow - but still nothing but this one light.

By drinking from the golden-white milk the lights shone forth stronger and stronger in the shape of the trees, the grass, the animals, man and things; having drunk they floated infinitely blest past the wise man and began to dance on the flowery meadow a magnificent, marvellous round dance.

They all gleamed like the light of the sun, the moon or the stars; and as they danced they permeated each other as if they had no bodily resistance; and often two or three of them, or sometimes more, joined to form new shapes of miraculous splendour.

In that manner, before Mani's eyes, in a very limited space manifold forms and shapes arose which permeated each other in dancing bliss, creating everything what the heart could desire and what one could possibly think of.

And ever new beings of light streamed near from the stars of the sky, received their magic milk and danced cheerfully towards the roundelay where they immediately participated in the miraculous dance.

The creatures and things, that drew near on their great journey, had before occupied all the spaces of the starry firmament lest they came too close to each other, but now this problem did not exist any longer.

After enjoying the milk they permeated each other magically, and this permeation allowed them to deal with each other in the smallest possible space in the most varied way - often hundreds of thousands of them holding each other by the hand at the same time. They simply put their hands together, and these then permeated each other becoming one single united great hand that often fanned out, only to converge again.

Sometimes Mani saw thousands of trees uniting in this playful manner, and also millions of dancing animals that permeated each other forming ever new animals.

She realized also that the melting of forms took place in an orderly manner as if mighty laws were observed with great naturalness.
