The sweet song of the three beautiful fairies enticed her out of sleep again, and when Mani opened her eyes very slowly she saw the three magnificent virgins sitting at their crystal fountain.
Turning the golden spindles they enjoyed the graceful ball-game. Celestial music came from the spinning wheels, collected in the scintillating spindles and travelled through the golden threads into all the worlds.

Although the threads were very fine, Mani recognized space within them; at times she even thought she saw moonlight flowing within one of them, the radiance of the sun within the other, and the many-hued golden light of the stars within the third.
And within these miraculous threads, spinning longer and longer, bright worlds of their own appeared - like narrative pictures: holy, bright events of the world in their finest, yet very clear and discernible presentation.
