With
the united forces of the heavenly bodies and under the protection of
the cosmic winds they sailed on in a great hurry to the far shore of
the world ocean. Even from afar they saw a bright radiance, as if the sun was rising
a second time at the rapidly approaching coast. The sails of their ship were lured, as it were, by these shining winds, and the boat irresistibly moved towards the source of this fresh and warm flood of light. The astonished sailors left the rudder to itself, since it did not
obey their will any longer. As they came fairly near the shore, they realized that the lucid brightness emanated from a crystal palace which seemed to bathe in the multicoloured lustre, which reflected back from the shining sea, and which it had produced with its own radiance. In that manner a flowing, rainbow-like bridge of light was created between the sparkling crystal palace and the multilayered shine of the ocean of the world. The shining ship took course towards this bridge, and the winner of ways flew up on the rays of the bridge, as if lifted by a miraculous strong hand, and entered the haven of the sounding crystal castle to the multi-voiced song of the rolling surf. However, as soon as they had sailed through the great golden-silvery
gate of the mighty ring-wall, which was overgrown with precious stones,
a deep silence prevailed all around. To the left the sparkling crystal fortress soared high up to the lofty
heights of steep diamond rocks. To the right, however, the glass palace sank into the world ocean,
illuminating the scintillating play of the softcoloured fish that roamed
between crystal plants. In the middle between these two high-towering and deep-plunging crystal
miracles a golden peninsula, richly decorated with ornaments, reached
out to the approaching ship. The girls were affectionately welcomed in the festively decorated palace
and were given a festive treat of the choicest culinary wonders of this
land of the sun. Her royal brother told Mani that their father had to go on a long journey, that he welcomed her, and that he hoped to meet her on his return. When the first waves of happiness of the refreshing welcome had faded, the brother and sister sat together, in the light of the sunset, on the banks of the world ocean in an intimate conversation; in the calm hour of the change of winds they looked over the subtly curling, iridescent waves of the open ocean to the golden bed of the sun, and watched the glowing golden eye bathing and refreshing itself in the sea. Mani's gates of her old trust opened again, and she told Sol about
the wondrous experience during her journey - and she did not even know
anymore if it had actually happened or if it was only a product of her
lively fantasy. She wished she could always live with this fullness of perception. |
