The Singing Star-Streams of Wisdom | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
When Mani was thrilled so delightfully by the inner streams of her own immortal life-breath, the creative arrow of her breath-shooting rain-bow expanded more and more between the streams of her life-breath, and the star-bow of her mind stretched more and more mightily. Her bliss-grinding starry mill turned more and more, working wonders, and ground brighter and brighter bliss - each of the dancing sparks of delight being endowed with its own universe. Mani feared to be blinded by her own innermost self, to burst from happiness, and to be carried away in a glow of bliss. But then her brother began to sing again very quietly, softly and intimately - and Mani found back to the reality of the celestial flowery meadow, embellished with precious stones, at the height of the Island of Happiness. As she looked with fully enlivened sight up towards the sky, she saw golden-silvery streams high in the air which floated like rings over the Island of Happiness through very subtle white fields of haze, and from which very fine cosmic chantings of unequalled beauty sounded forth like from millions of singing and ringing mouths of unlimited blest delight. These flowing chantings of the height merged with her own tunes of life and with the tunes of the spheres, which emanated from the worlds of the plants, to form a collective great divine harmony. Ever
since they had emerged from the sun, Mani had been standing still, looking
and listening full of bliss inward and outward all the time. But Mani did not dare to do one single step because she feared that by stepping on the meadow she destroyed the infinite universes which dwelled within these plants; but her brother banished her fears. And when Mani took her first cautious steps she noticed that she hovered above the meadow; and she also realized that all the time she had not touched the ground - maybe even during her entire walk through the rings of cognition. Mani
never expected this, and therefore had never paid any attention to this
aspect of her journey; the many inner and outer events had occupied
her attention completely and permanently. Above them the heavenly songs of the eternal streams of knowledge resounded, and below them shone the jewels of happiness which answered with their own songs of bliss. |
