“Man thus reigns right in the centre of all these spheres of influence; and in that respect he is a great exception among all beings.

He can enter everywhere and he can even rule all the worlds from his domain in the middle; because by nature he combines all these spheres within himself - and this fact endows man right from the beginning with an exceptional cosmic might, a greater might than any other being has.”

Now it seemed to Mani as if they entered the sun. Before, when they were still walking in the golden light of that august star, all the trees, bushes and the grass, all animals and birds, and all stones and all earth shone more and more golden - yet also colourfully scintillating like the rainbow.

Now however, all the radiant colours were completely drowned in the bright light of the golden glow, and only pure, glowing, gleaming gold remained visible.
Nature as a whole had assumed the radiance of the sun and it seemed as if it was hewn from the sun.

Thus the brightness was so great that - even with closed eyes - Mani stood still as if blind and was afraid of walking on.

However, her brother comforted her, ”The world of the gods has its very own nature - like the world of the giants, alfs, and man; but it is important to prepare oneself gradually for the forces of this glowing world of the sun.

In principle our nervous system is prepared for the celestial experiences, but this nature-given armour comes into function only when we systematically go through that refining and cultivating process of education which is carried out first on the Island of Overflowing Wealth and then here on the Island of Happiness.

Nevertheless one has to accustom oneis nervous system step by step to these truly blissful experiences of the divine radiance - otherwise man gets scorched and terrified in his haste.”
