“The outer world of forms and phenomena, of the elements of nature and furthermore of the entire creation is governed by the giants' forces, the forces of the mind.

They are called giants' forces because they appear very, very large and gigantic compared to the much finer forces of pure consciousness which form the prime foundation of the mental faculties, the absolute life-field of the transcendence.

“In the cognitive rings in the light of the moon we learned that the moon-alfs are the true masters of the entire outer nature; because from the depth of the transcendence they determine and govern the unbounded, cosmic diversity.

This is also why we saw the moon-alfs as the teachers of the giants - when the latter learned from them the practical application of the divine forces in nature.
The moon-alfs thus teach the giants in the skilled use of the forces of nature.

“The meaning behind these exercises is to raise the entire creation to the high level of the unbounded world of the transcendence; and the eternal chantings that sound so powerfully from the original sources of the wise giants speak of this purpose when they proclaim the ancient traditions of the heydays.

According to the commands from their sources of wisdom the wise yotuns submit to the all-prudent advice of the moon-alfs, since they rule with skill the cosmic moonlight of the transcendence.

“Here however, in the rings of cognition in the light of the sun, all development takes a new direction: out of unity suddenly unfolds towards within what had unfolded before - in the rings of cognition of the moon - through the transcendence and through the rings of the mind towards the world-ocean, and even further towards all outer activity of the world.

“This reverse unfoldment we observed particularly well with the ball-players; from the silvery ball - the moonball - the moon-worker created her moon-creation which expands, through the forces of the free will, from pure consciousness; from the golden ball - the sunball - the sun-worker created his sun-creation which expands, through the forces of conscience, from pure self-awareness.
