Mani had the impression that this peaceful happy together of fauna and flora employed one single, simple language which was understood by all beings of the forest. Somehow she felt that the language of the animals innocently related to the chantings that sounded down from the heights. She
was convinced that the natural friendship of all the animals and plants
was based on the harmony of those songs, the same harmony that had made
her so peaceful and serene. Within these songs she felt the divine forces that govern the mind so powerfully; but also, in her immediate environment, she saw the miraculous effect the resounding play of these pure powers had on the beings of the world. Meanwhile her brother had finished his serene song, and so they listened together to the chantings of the heights, and cheerfully walked along into the island. |
