“Well, and Hans,” Sol ended his story, ”was the pilot of the ship we have seen on the clearing and who emitted the rays, and who moved all the parts of the flying wonder-craft so magically.
When he flew to the czar, it seemed to Hans that the ship took course by itself, travelling as it were without a helmsman.

“But this is not quite correct. It did have a helms-man, but he had made himself invisible with a cloak of invisibility and steered the ship.
He was actually the same man who, in the beggaris disguise, had asked the milleris son for bread at the forest-way and who had later procured the ship for him.
And before, on the clearing, you saw him sitting on the throne on the flying ship. From there he taught Hans to navigate the ship by himself.

“And the companions of the milleris son, that had helped him so much, were on the ship too. They all are originally from here, from the Island of Happiness, where they are being trained.

“But through the joint adventures they had become friends and now they make all the exercises together; this is why we saw them here, during the exercise with the flying ship, standing at the railing together.

“And the czar is a marvellous man indeed, for he organized the whole happening.
Apart from his office of a ruler over a very large realm he also works here on the Island of Happiness as a teacher.

“He is a sun-alf, and in the rings of cognition of the sun he teaches the high, divine art of self-realization; thus he suits the office of the czar well because by the very meaning of the word a czar is someone who has realized, as a human being, the cosmic self in all the worlds, and who therefore has power over all the worlds.
This pledges him to act wisely; and therefore he placed great emphasis on having a worthy successor in his office.

“And none better than the youngest son of the miller who in all his thought and action was given to knowing life itself and who pursued the lively diversity on the level of unity with unerring shrewdness.
The czar knows his realm and all the people - even if they are not aware of it - and prudently he ensures that in his sphere of responsibility the fulfilment grows continuously.

“So he had chosen the youngest son of the miller to succeed him in his office in the world of man; and he had asked the wise moon-alf, who is his friend, to help him with his plan and to build the ship for him and to navigate it; at the same time he had hired seven of his pupils to help him win the successor.

“But also besides his activity as a miller in the world of man, the rich miller, the father of Hans, works simultaneously - without his sons knowing it - as a teacher on the Island of Happiness.
